The Workforce of 2050: Empowering Vocational Training for a Changing World in regions in transition

This dynamic and hands-on workshop is designed to explore the key digital, green, soft, and technical skills required for the workforce to remain resilient as the green transition evolves through 2050 to EU’s climate neutrality. In the context of an increasingly complex and shifting job market, participants will engage in a well-structured combination of group discussions, targeted brainstorming activities, best practices sharing, and skill-matching exercises. These methods enable participants to identify emerging skills gaps in the shifting job market and collaborate on identifying and sharing best practices for skills development, particularly through establishing synergies in Vocational Education and Training (VET). The use of the World Café participatory technique is supposed to foster meaningful dialogue, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and generate valuable insights on innovative and forward-looking strategies for future workforce resilience. In this context, the interactive workshop will also showcase two examples of synergies in vocational excellence: through the SEED CoVE project, and the HABITABLE CoVE project.
